Paint Correction overview

Paint correction, paint polishing, paint compounding and paint enhancement are typically all used synonymously. All of these refer to improving the finish of automotive paint. Most people seek paint correction for their vehicle because they have scratches or swirls. Scratches or swirls often appear from improper car washing. Most commercial car washes use heavy duty brushes and over time these leave your car's paint with lite scratching and marring. Paint correction can typically correct these types of scratches and marring. 

We should never expect perfection with paint correction. Most people will see the biggest improvement with a one step paint correction which is about a 50%-70% improvement. A two-step correction typically yields 70%-80% improvement. A multi-step correction typically yields 90%-95% improvement and is rarely done unless the vehicle is a show car.

When to have your paint corrected 

1. Swirl & Scratch Removal: Paint correction will decrease the visibility of scratches and swirls leading to a glossier finish on your paint. 
2. Brighten dull paint: Over the years our paint can begin to dull from exposure to elements and improper wash techniques. Paint correction can bring back some of the factory shine your car had when it was new. 
3. Improve the value of your vehicle: Maintaining or improving your vehicles paint will always lead to a higher sale price. 
4. Prior to a ceramic coating: When any topper is being added to your paint you are effectively sealing the surface and any imperfections along with with it.
